From the first look at the renders, the OnePlus 8 appears to have a minimal bezel design all around, surrounded by a metal frame. Towards the front, it has a hole-punch cutout on the top-left for the selfie camera, and the rear has a triple-camera setup arranged in a vertical module in the center. What’s interesting about the renders is that we now see OnePlus moving towards a different aesthetic approach with the colorway. The renders suggest three color options for the vanilla OnePlus 8: Interstellar Glow, Glacial Green, and Onyx Black. Among which, the Interstellar Glow certainly seems strikingly different than the colors that most manufacturers have to offer. Talking about other specifications for the OnePlus 8, we recently learned that the device will feature a 6.55-inch display Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 processor, the latest from Qualcomm, with 5G capabilities, and will include a 4300mAh battery with 30W warp charge 30T support to power the internals. Further, the handset is expected to come with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 onboard storage. Moving to the cameras, the leaked specifications suggest that the OnePlus 8 will sport a triple camera setup on the rear. The setup is expected to include a 48MP primary sensor accompanied by a 16MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2MP lens. And towards the front, it might feature a 16MP selfie camera. Besides, as already mentioned, we also have detailed specifications for the OnePlus 8 Pro, which suggests the device to come with a quad-camera setup on the rear. The setup is expected to feature two 48MP sensors, with the primary sensor being a Sony IMX689 with f/1.78 aperture, and the second, a Sony IMX586 sensor, which is an ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 120-degree FoV. Alongside the two 48MP sensors, the leak suggests an 8MP telephoto lens with f/2.44 aperture with 3x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom, and a 5MP lens, adding to the total tally of four sensors. Moreover, the camera is expected to also include OIS and EIS, along with an all-new night portrait mode and a 3-HDR video mode. OnePlus is expected to launch its OnePlus 8 series sometime in April. However, taking into consideration the current scenarios across the globe, we are yet to see if that would happen as per the schedule. So stay tuned for any further updates.
