In case you have forgotten, Poco F1 Armoured edition with Kevlar back isn’t new, but was restricted to the top-end variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Now, Poco has brought that to the lower-end version as well. It still features the same 6.18-inch display, which comes with a resolution of 1080 x 2248 pixels at an aspect ratio of 19:9. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 chipset along with an Adreno 630 GPU. In the camera department, the device sports a combination of 12 MP and 5 MP sensor on the rear and a 20 MP selfie shooter on the front. By making the Armoured Edition available in the lower variant, the company is aiming to sell more units by targeting a larger number of people who generally opt for a lower-end variant of the phone. The new Armoured Edition goes on sale on Mi store and Flipkart starting tomorrow at a price of Rs 23,999. At a time when it’s getting increasingly tougher to keep the shelf life of a smartphone longer, companies try all the tricks to entice the users and keep the smartphone relevant. This includes introducing newer color variants, newer RAM/storage variants and the likes. While Poco F2 isn’t necessarily far off from launch, Poco F1 is still a good choice for a lot of people considering it’s still the cheapest smartphone with the flagship Snapdragon 845 processor.
