According to Mysmartprice, the Redmi Note 9 was spotted on the benchmark app with the MediaTek MT6769V/CZ chipset which turns out to be the codename for MediaTek Helio P75. The P70 is a moderately powerful SoC and the P75 will improve on that. When compared to the Redmi Note 8 which has the SD 665 SoC, the P75 is expected to perform better. However, we’re not sure how consumers are going to perceive this shift as Qualcomm chips are generally regarded to be superior, especially in terms of thermals and battery efficiency. While there is no other information about the Redmi Note 9 available to us, we can expect the phone to come with the usual mid-range specs that Redmi has been providing, like a quad-camera setup on the rear with a 48MP primary sensor, a large 4000mAh+ battery, and going by the trend this year, perhaps a punch-hole IPS display on the front. The Helio P75 chipset will enable superior performance on the Redmi Note 9 which can be beneficial for hardcore users like gamers who are especially looking for a smartphone that can run PUBG well without spending too much money. As the Redmi Note legacy has been continuing every year, we can expect the Redmi Note 9 too to be starting at a price of Rs. 9,999. The Redmi Note 9 might launch alongside the Redmi 9 or Redmi 9A later this year. If you’re looking for a smartphone under the Rs. 10,000 price segment, you can wait for the Redmi Note 9, but it’s too soon to say when exactly the smartphone would be available to purchase.
